Welcome to Play. We're open Monday-Friday from 9am to 4pm & most Saturdays from 9:30am to 1pm. We offer session music classes for children from birth to 8 years and session art classes for toddlers to 5-year-olds, as well as drop in Messy Art classes. Music Together® at Play

Messy Mixed Media parent-and-child art class for ages 3 to 5, starts Oct. 2nd.

Music Together® 3s & 4s parent-and-child music class for ages 3 and 4, starts Sept. 29th.

Orff Music Class an Orff method music class for ages 5 and 6, starts Sept. 23rd.

Junior Recording Artists small group guitar instruction for kids ages 6 to 8, starts Oct. 29th.

Sarah's CD Party

Help us celebrate the release of Sarah's brand new CD of lullabies, Rest My Love. We are so proud of her. Sunday, Sept. 7th the schedule... Arrive at 5 in your pajamas, with pillow in hand. Snuggle in for music with Sarah from 5:15 to 5:45.  Head home for dinner and bed at 6.

Come and experience a gentle introduction to the electric guitar--and then see what she can really do. Keith's dance party bridges the gap between folk and rock with music from Woody Guthrie to Jimi Hendrix, and songs your kids will know too.

Randy Kaplan at Play

Randy Kaplan is coming to town and we're so excited to have him back at Play. Don't miss this special musical event. Child Portraits on Thursday, Sept.18th at Play Capture your child at play when photographer Orit Harpaz visits us for some informal photo sessions. Make an appointment between 9:30 am and 4 pm, and Orit will photograph your child in our space. Your shots will be available for your perusal (with no obligation to purchase prints). $45 includes 30-minute session and day admission. (One child per 30-minute session, please.) Outdoor Family Portraits on Sunday, Sept. 21st at Coldwater Park Orit takes casual portraits of your little ones or the whole family in a beautiful, natural setting. Appointments available between 10 am and 6 pm. The session fee is $85.00 and includes: * 1-hour session * on-line proof gallery for easy viewing * image editing (30-50 selects) * 1 - 8x10 print enlargement * minor retouching Sessions will take place at: Coldwater Canyon Park 1100 North Beverly Drive Beverly Hills 90210 (at Coldwater Canyon Dr.)

Isn’t getting there supposed to be half the fun?  Does that mean that all of these poor stay-cationers are missing out on half the fun?  No worries!  We’re bringing the joy of travel back with songs about trains, planes, automobiles, and all the exotic locations they lead to.  You never know where you’re going to end up with the Stay-cation dance party.

World Music Drum Series
with Rhythm Child

Big on our play list lately are Napper's Delight, a  mellow and delightful new CD from Dean Jones of Dog on Fleas; Five Cent Piece and Loquat Rooftop from the wonderful Randy Kaplan, who comes back to Play in September; and It's A Bam Bam Diddly! from Father Goose (of Dan Zanes and Friends fame). We've also got great new titles from Putumayo, including Hawaiian Playground, Celtic Dreamland, Brazilian Playground, and Animal Playground, and lots of other all-ages music and kids instruments by REMO, First Note, Hohner, and Woodstock.
