What: Messy Art is facilitated parent-and-child painting for kids from toddler-age to 5. It’s always drop-in, no reservations required. You may paint anytime within the scheduled window, but please try to arrive at least a half-hour before the end time. All materials, as well as smocks for kids and adults, are provided.
Cost: $10 per child OR purchase an Art Card, valid for 6 drop-in art visits for $45 ($7.50 each; must be used within 5 weeks). Art Cards may be used for both Messy Art and Stories & Art. Stories & Art
When: Every Thursday, 10-11:30 exceptions
What: At 10 am, we start with a story reading, then kids create their own art, taking inspiration from the book. Depending on the featured read, we use the book’s color palette, textures, images, or themes as a starting point for the art time. (The art room is open until 11:30, but most kids who participate from 10am are done sooner.)
Who: Kids who enjoy painting and might be ready to sit for one story; around 2 years and up
