Sarah Kay Peters: Music Together® and World Citizen Baby
![]() | Sarah Kay Peters has been singing and dancing her entire life. She grew up on goat farms in Wisconsin and Colorado, and music was always central to her family gatherings. Sarah recieved her degree in Theatre Acting/Directing from Mesa State College in Grand Junction, CO. She spent several years in Chicago working as a theatre actor. While there, she discovered Music Together and completed the training in Boulder, CO in January 2003. Sarah taught several early childhood music programs, including Music Together, while in Chicago. In July 2004, she studied classical acting techniques with the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, UK. She is a founding member of Song Weavers, an a capella song/chant group that has performed in Sebastapol, CA, New York City, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Sarah brings guitar, bodhran (an Irish frame drum), flute, and a love for world music into her Music Together classes. When not teaching, Sarah can be found playing capoeira, a Brazilian martial art, singing to her nephew over the phone, and traveling. |
Keith Colacicco: Music Together®
| | Keith Colacicco began his musical career as a 7-year-old when he performed the song "Wild Thing" on his electric guitar for classmates and faculty at his elementary school. The experience began a lifelong fascination with musical performance and an appreciation for the role that music can play in child development. Keith grew up in Huntington, New York in a family that fostered creative expression in the arts. Julie Ingram: Music Together® & Orff for 5- & 6-year-olds
![]() | Originally from Long Beach, CA, she pursued her
BA in Italian Literature from UC Berkeley and then headed to New York
to intern at the Juilliard Opera Center. She decided to go into the
musical profession and received her Master of Music degree from the
University of Texas at Austin. For the past three years, she has sung
with the Austin Lyric Opera Chorus and has coordinated the Early
Childhood Music Program at the Armstrong Community Music School of
Austin Lyric Opera. As a teacher dedicated to the mission of social
service, she has taught choir for many years in a detention facility
for youth, and has donated her time to facilitate a choir for the
elderly. |
